The Bledsoe Agency

Dustin Bledsoe is responsible for corporate strategy and all functional aspects of the company. As a licensed attorney and certified player agent with the Major League Baseball Players Association, he serves as general counsel for the firm and is the lead negotiator for all clients.

Before founding The Bledsoe Agency, Dustin held partnership in a full-service, multi-sport management firm where he spearheaded recruitment of MLB and NFL pro clients, handled negotiations of client contracts, and procured client marketing/endorsement opportunities.

Prior to sports representation, Dustin worked for litigation firms in Washington, D.C., and South Carolina and an investment-banking boutique in New York City. He received his undergraduate degree at Clemson University and went on to earn his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law and is a member of the Tennessee Bar.

 


 

Hunter Bledsoe is responsible for design and implementation of the company’s specialized services and evaluation of all prospects and current athletes. He is a certified player agent with the Major League Baseball Players Association and played five years of professional baseball with the Dodgers, Yankees and Royals organizations.

After his standout Vanderbilt career, Hunter signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers. An all-around top athlete, Hunter was the first NCAA baseball player in 20 years, as well as the first athlete in Vanderbilt University history (where he graduated magna cum laude), to receive the NCAA Top VIII Award.

In 1999, he was named the GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year and a 1st Team All-American. He was the first player in Vanderbilt history to be named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year, and with a .459 batting average, he ranks 5th all-time in SEC history.

 


 

David Ray, Co-Director of Development

David is responsible for the development arm of the Agency. He is involved in the strategy, implementation, and technical expertise required for development. He specializes in performance, injury prevention/rehabilitation, and off season training. He is a MLBPA Limited Certified Agent and works closely with apparel/equipment companies for our athletes.

Before coming on board, David was a co-owner of Resilient Health. He has served as a consultant to MLB, MiLB, Collegiate, and High School players. Dave is also a frequent speaker at conferences and clinics.

David played baseball at Cornell University and Lyon College, where he double-majored in History and Political Science. At Lyon, he was a member of the baseball team and served at assistant coach upon graduation. He has his M.S. in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Sports Management from MTSU, where he graduated with honors.

 


 

Caleb Cotham, Co-Director of Development

Caleb is also responsible for the development arm of the Bledsoe Agency, with an emphasis on pitching. He was a player represented by the Agency and has since come on board since retiring. Caleb is a MLBPA Limited Certified Agent and played professional baseball for nine seasons and pitched for two seasons in the MLB for the Yankees and Reds.

Caleb has an extensive background in pitching development and is on the forefront in that industry. He has working knowledge on all things arm care, weighted balls, pitch development, throwing programming, and technology. He implores a technology/data driven approach to truly develop the arm. He used this approach at the highest levels and also has a passion for teaching.

Caleb played college baseball at Vanderbilt University for three years before being drafted in the 5th round in 2009. He was part of nationally ranked staffs as a weekend starter. He graduated with a degree in Financial Economics.
